Hey all, I just recently purchased a Buck Alpha Dorado from a Bass Pro store while I was in Alabama. So first off, I love the look and feel of the knife. The blade is stamped with cpm 154 and then the letters "bos". Can anyone give me some background on this particular knife? Thanks!

CPM154 is the steel and it is a good one. (CPM stands for Crucible Particle Metallurgy if I'm not mistaken, the company that made the steel)
BOS is the name of the man that heat treated the blade, (Paul Bos)

And I am 100% positive that I have spelling errors in this post.

Thanks a bunch Brennan. The handle is resin impregnated rosewood, and it's a damn purdy knife. It came with a leather sheath, which I'm not that fond of, but it has a hole on the one end that I can use to hang it from my belt loop.

By the way- I'm pretty sure you spelled everything right:D

Thanks Knarf, as I was going there . The Dorado is a strong, nice slicing model that locks up solid . Hope you enjoy it . Dm
