My father-in-law gave me an alpha hunter for x-mas 2002. It says 1st Production Run 1 of 2500 on the blade right under where it says buck. Doesn't look like it would be a limited run but just would like some clarification. Its got the black synthetic handle scales and gut hook.

Based on a couple of knives I have, it's a first production run and marked like that.That didnt sound right. I have the Taclite and an Access that are both marked "First Production Run" . Standard knives but with the extra touch added.
I trashed my Access doing something it was not ment to do. I offered to pay Buck to fix it because it was FPR. Told them what happened and they sent my check back. That was way cool and more than I deserved.

Every now and then we do that. We pull knives from the first batch and have them engraved. Can you imagine what a 110 from the first batch would be worth today?
