Alpha hunter sheath needed

Buddy of mine needs a sheath for his alpha hunter fixed blade (294)
Are these knives hard to find? I remember some on the SPS were talking about how they missed out on getting one?
 
I was looking for one myself.
A leather Vanguard sheath works. I don't know about the nylon Vanguard....
A nylon 685 fits nicely also.
I prefer the leather sheath, as the 685 sheath works well, but wears a little funny on your belt.

I think the Alpha stretches the leather on the Vanguard sheath, as you have to push it in a bit. But it holds the knife well, not loose.
If anything I noticed a Vanguard knife fits a little loose afterwards. These sheath are available from Buck, so no big deal.

Your friends knife looks well used. I like it.
Those are the best ones.
I'd keep it sharp and use it as is.

Yes it helps. I was wondering if some other buck sheaths were compatible. Just think he wants to be able to carry it and is not a collector but has several buck knives he has purchased to pass on to his boys. This one he found in the road while on duty as a Georgia Cop and he really likes it.
funny how you bond with a knife you rescue.

They did not have them. Had some 0192 05 BK sheaths that fit the hunter. That number from memory so could be incorrect
