Alpha Industries jackets?

I have been looking for winter jacket and I like one of the Alpha Industries jackets (blue polar parka). I just don't have any idea about the company, and the model I'm looking for is pretty expensive so I don't want to throw the money lightly. So, my question is, does anyone have opinions on these?

In general, I'm looking for something tough and warm, parka preferred with big hairy hood.

I have one of their lighter weight flight jackets. It is well made and pretty warm down into the 30's. I personally think they run a little small. I bought mine a a good discount, so not sure what other items would be comparable in price.

I've had pants and a M65 field jacket by them. They used to have a small factory near where I lived and they filled military contracts.
