I ordered a couple of these because I thought they looked interesting and thought I would give them a try. One they got here I was not dissappointed, I had several Alpha Innovations products already, and they are top notch so I was not shocked to find the F&F is as good as it can possibly be on Polymer. The Hornet is basically a Kubaton that goes around the fingers. It is a little big for me so I wrapped it in Paracord shell. It works great for hammer and thumb side strikes, and in an emergency I guess I could be used to punch although I do not see that being very comfortable. The awesome part about this tool is that it can be in hand while doing other things like manipulating a handgun. I was even able to effectively work a pump action shotgun with it in my support hand. This is a great tool and I highly recommend it.

I bought a couple of those a while ago after talking with Mercop (along with a couple other products) and it is a great idea. It was a little big for me also though; the middle crossbar hurts my fingers if striking without using the thumb to brace the thumbside. Wrapping it in paracord to thicken it sounds like a great idea I should try. I still prefer the regular kubotan though, just feels more natural to me for some reason, and I can punch better with it.

These are great for hooking and trapping. They would be a great tool for someone working security at a club etc. They would give you the ability to strike and control, pat down for weapons and maintain open hand dexterity.- George
