http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/899875-quot-Alphahunter-quot-2.0!!

First of all my digital camera is on loan to a friend right now so I just wanted to give some thoughts on the Alphahunter 2.0 that I just got from the mailman.

This really is not a review because I just got the knife so I just wanted to note some observations of the knife that I received today. After I can carry this knife and use it for awhile I will try to do a review where I can take some before and after photos and share more information. After seeing and handling this knife I felt compelled to note a few first impressions.

I am very pleased with this knife. Many times you order something and you receive it and you get what you expected. I can say that this knife was more then what I could have expected. The quality and lockup is unlike any knife I have held. The fit and finish is perfect and the photos really do not do this knife justice. The ghost camo handle scales are awesome. Someone in the above link posted that the hole might not be big enough for such a large blade and I was anxious to see how it came together. I have to admit that the hole is perfect for this blade and opens the knife very smoothly. In photos I thought that I might have liked to have seen a larger hole to open the blade but after opening the knife in person, it feels perfect to me. I know some folks like smaller blades to carry and I generally do not like a 4" blade for carrying but this knife actually carries surprisingly well.

I also must say that dealing with Chad and Peter on this project was a pleasure. I have attempted to work with other guys on folders like this and the experience was not quite as nice. This knife was a a dream folder for me and I appreciate all the hard work that Chad and Peter put into making this knife happen.

I will also note that without my close friend who is known as banaclip here on the forums this project would not have been possible. He introduced me to Chad and made this happen. For this I thank him.

Brother, you are most welcome! I'm glad she is safe in your hand!
Enjoy her and use that massive s90v blade like it was meant to be used!
I can't wait for the updated review and pics!

You have been a joy to work with! Billy, your next brother! ;)

I am glad you put those pics in here. As far as weight I am not sure yet, il have to check it out and get back to ya on that. It feels really balanced for however heavy it is.

Congrats again..have you had the chance to weigh it yet?

Thanks again, Yours will be well worth the wait I promise. I actually can't wait to see your finished project either. I love the blade design and shape on yours.

Sweet blade bro, glad you got it in your hands.

Will you EDC this knife? I can't wait to see the pics of it in use. It's a hard use knife, so I'm sure it will be able to take all the abuse you can dish out on it.

I can't wait either..it'll be a special one. I never thought id actually be holding something I sketched up. From here on out, I'll refer to Peter as the magician.
