Hi guys,

I just recently bought a Zero Tolerance 0350 and was trying to change the pocket clip for a tip up carry and have rounded out my torx screwdriver head trying to tighten the clip down :( Now the clip is halfway tight and wiggles back and forth and in no way will hook securely in my pants pocket.

Do any of you have any suggestions on how to either back the screws out or tighten them down now that I've screwed things up? I think I must have cross threaded them or something. DUH. I'm so ticked at myself!

Thanks for any suggestions you might have.

Max

I would send it back to Kershaw.
They will make it right.

Oops, I guess I should clarify, I bought the 0350 as a factory blemish from KershawGuy on the forum so I assume Kershaw wouldn't support any kind of return for maintenance.

Sorry, should have mentioned that!

Buy a new torx. Loosen the screws and put them back in, You might have not noticed and put them in at a slight angle.

Order or call Kershaw to send you some new screws out.
Just take a dremel and cut a 'flat head' in the torx screw
to take it out or tighten it.

Make sure you tape everything up incase you slip with the dremel.
;)

That's not a bad idea, thanks SVRider3. I think a buddy of mine probably has a dremel. I about as tool savvy/handy as a monkey with two left hands so I usually leave any kind of handy work to the experts.

No problem Max. If your buddy is good with a dremel, let him make the cut. :D
Seriously though, tape everything up and you should be good to go.

You may be able to back the loose screw out, use a lot of downward pressure on the torx bit, and then rotate the clip around the tight screw to loosen it.

I finally found a use for my needle nose vice grips! I just hope I don't need to use them for this.

Kershaw customer service is out of this world. I would just ask them for a screw they most likely will send you one.

I've done this a few times. SuperGlue.Tinest of drops in the screw hole.(boy that sounds funny, screw hole):o
