some of you may recall the one thread that brought up busse throwing knives last year that mentioned andy prisco's apache throwers, wich is the only reason i even know these things were ever discussed.

whatever happened with them? did they go into limited production?

are there pics in existence???? (i never got to see a shape or geometry or anything, just a random mention of it)

I am curious as to why you brought this up in the Busse Forum?

ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooh........

i just realized what you meant by that. i hadnt considered that they were andy priscos companies project, using jerry's heat treat...

even so, as far as i know busse doesnt do heat treating for other companies. while not technically busse knives - they are close.

anything heat treated by busse combat is of interest to me, and im not sure of any other info about these knives. as far as i know they were ground by, heat treated, and finished by jerry busse.

though it could be that andy ground and finished them, while jerry heat treated them.

or it could just be that they were never made at all. i remember a post regarding andy using them on a boar hunt - or at least using SOMEONES throwing knives... the thread being refered to because the apache throwers were brought up.

i dont know wich company the project belongs to, andy's or jerry's, so i figure i'd be stepping on someones toes no matter wich way i went if i was wrong.

edit: also, this was back in 2000 when this was brought up. as far as i know andy hadn't yet formed the american tomahawk company. because of this, it would still be busse's work, coming from a custom maker - if it wasnt done in shop to begin with.

I don't know why this was handled on the forum vs some e-mail or calls to the shop.

Locked.
