Hey M-Mutt anyone ever tell you a knife is not a high priced pry bar? You really shouldn't pry with a knife.

Ya know, db, that line sounds sooo very familiar...

The Cold Steel Trailmaster and Recon Scout makes a pretty solid sharpened prybar, with its' 5/16ths inch-thick blade, and thick point...Although I'm not too sure how well they would hold-up to prying the engine-block from a '55 Chevy in-half.:D.

I think the thing is that if one prys with a pointed object, the point of the object will most probably bend even if it's not noticeable to the touch or the naked eye.

The Mad Dog "DESTROYER" and "EMMA GEE" are made of 3/8 stock! I'd be pretty confident prying with one of those.

Well Mutt,your a class act. :)

I'm sorry for getting a little hot.My thoughts are if a person wants a knife with features (tanto, combo, one to pry with etc.) That I might not, I figure he knows whats best for him, even if I think thats wacked.

Except for those nuts who would buy Sebenzas. ;) :D

Thanks Hunter,

It just hurts me when someone hurts a knife...

I've pried with a knife before and ruined it... I get that crappy anxiety feeling, the same one as when you're in Kindergarden and everyone's parent has already picked them up, you're the last, and you don't know if your parents are gonna show....

Gee, I gotta get me a headshrink...

Almost anything offered by Himilayan Imports should stand up to some substantial prying. I have a Chiruwa Ahg Khola that just begs to be pryed with, I've never even been able to make the blade flex.

You must use a little common sense when prying, some knives are designed to handle a little bit of abuse. Some are not.
