I am in the shop, minding my own business and trying to get some work done..

And then it happned.

I tried to keep the two seprated, but you know how it goes... My BK16 spied a piece of knotty Locust in the wood pile. The knotty locust had given even the mighty BK2 a run for it's money in a battoning bout last week and had quite a rep...They started talking SH&*T to each other..Some comment was made about the Locust knot's parentage and then a retort was made about Olean, NY and "Steers and Queers"

That's when the BK 16 winked at me and said "OK-IT'S ON!!!!!!!!!!"

Needless to say- things did NOT go well for the knotty piece of Locust..

The BK16 felt cocky after all that and did a Victory lap slicing up the junk mail SMK thoughtfully included in my order.

As I put the BK16 away, the BK17 made the comment, "You know, I could have done that"... To which the BK16 replied
" Well, MAYBEE- but you DIDN'T. So go put your mint condition,clip point candy azz back in the box where it belongs "..:D

Good Lord, is that the production BK-16 I'm seeing? It's even more glorious than I had imagined.

Yep, I'm going to get a FFG 16 in addition to my saber ground. That's awesome.

Nice thread. I liked seeing where the wear occurred as well. Makes me feel better about how well my two-tone will hold up. Plus, it's got such a pretty blued patina from all the food prep the other day.
 
OP: call KaBar on Monday for either replacement knives, or the therapist they know about that talking knife problem :)

As long as you don't talk back to them...:D

I found the whole episode pretty entertaining..
