Hey guys, I recently got an American Lawman from cold steel and I love everything about it except cold steel's cheap teflon coating. Whats the easiest way to strip it off so that I can have a plain satin finish? Thank you much!

You can get paint stripper for that. People often use if for stripping finished off. Took the finish off my BK7 within five min. You can pick some up in the paint section of your local hardware store. I would recommend the spray can variety. Spray it on, wait five min or so and scrape the finish off with a wire brush or razer blade. VERY IMPORTANT use safety glasses and gloves. Dont get the stuff on your shin it is pretty much acid. Obviously dont get it in your eyes, and if you get it on your skin i would recommend hot water and soap before it starts to burn. Wash the knife off thoroughly after stripping with soap.

I have used stripper, then some fine grit wet dry sandpaper (1,000 grit). Then I usually finish with paste polish like Flitz. If you have a Dremel you might want some buffing with green compound.

Thank you guys so much :) it came out amazingly and I officially love this american lawman (much more so than my recon 1)
