I really don't like the tip down carry of the Whirlwind's clip. Does anyone know how to go about changing it to tip up carry? The handle material is polyamide, which the sales ad for the knife says is similar to Zytel. Can it be as simple as drilling the appropriate sized holes for the clip screws and letting the screws cut their own threads going in? I don't want to try that without some educated feedback.
Currently the knife has a small metal plate imbedded into the handle where the clip screws in. The metal plate has threaded holes in it. That makes me leery on whhether simply screwing into the handle material will work. Any ideas on what to do?
