Hi all,

I have issues posting images here.
I had photobucket LONG ago and have since moved to imgur. Imgur used to work fine, but now it takes forever to upload pictures there, and sometimes it will not even let me access my uploaded pics. šŸ˜‘
Does anyone have any alternate photo hosting platforms that are free they recommend I use?
Also, why can we not simply upload photos from our phone directly to BF like other forums? (I have tried here and always get the message that the image is too large).

Thank you all in advance for your time and help.

You can load directly from your phone, your Gold. Just need keep it 1mb and below. A quick hack that works is take your picture, then screenshot that picture. When you screenshot it, it reduces it dramatically and then just directly load that (the screenshot).

You can also use a free app to downsize your pictures. A very easy one to use is Image Size, just Google those 2 exact words and it pops up as the first hit. I use it all the time and no matter how much I downsize the photo in Mb’s, it still posts the same viewable size I desire, into any post I want, and no quality is lost either.

Remember 1mb and lower, I keep mine around 975kb and it’s good to go every single time, no more ā€œImage is too largeā€ error message.

Here is a picture of the Image Size app I’m talking about. I reduced it to just 297.1kb, just to show you that the actual size isn’t lost, (unless you want to post a smaller viewable size, then you can).

I've used flickr also. Doesn't seem to have as many features as imgur.

Every once in a while I will get a file that hangs up loading to the page from my phone. No pattern or explanation why. If I upload the same image from my laptop it isn't a problem.
