Alternate tools for Powerlock?

I have been thinking about getting a new multitool for a while, and after looking at all the options I think the SOG Powerlock is the one to get, primarily for the assembly which permits swapping implements and disassembly for cleaning.

Before I purchase one I would appreciate knowing what other implements are available for the Powerlock, and about how much they cost. Also, does disassembly or tool switching by the customer void the warranty as abuse?

Hi Fishbulb,

Yes, one of the really handy benefits of our tools are that they can be disassembled for cleaning and customizing.

Regarding extra components, the PowerLock does already come pretty loaded. Options for your tool are:
  • 3" fully straight blade, $6.50
  • 3" fully serrated blade (sheepsfoot), $6.50
  • Roberton (square) drive, $6.50
  • Serrated line cutter (occasionally also referred to as a Seatbelt Cutter or a Gut Hook), $7.95...BUT, this one does not have the "locking" notches cut into the tang/pivot area. If you are very handy with a Dremmel-type tool or other grinding equipment, it can be retrofitted for locking capabilities. Call us for more information if you're interested at 888.SOG.BEST.
There's also a dual mounting nylon pouch available for $8.95.

Let me know if there is anything else I can do for you.

Thanks AlphalphaPB I forgot search had been enabled again. Looks like I'll be ordering a couple of blades........
