Alternative carry methods?

I love my small collection of functional knives, but I don't like the way I carry any of them. :( My Blur and Manix's clips have both worn to the point of not being very tight, and carrying in the pocket with the clip doesn't seem very secure. I once lost a Vapor this way when I was in a little scrap, musta got snagged on somethingand dropped into the dirt.

I sometimes carry my smaller knives loose in my pocket (my chive, and 635). This isn't too ideal since I have to dig around past my cellphone and/or keys, and I don't have super baggy pockets.

What are some creative carry methods? Did I just luck out with my clips? Should I just be resigned to my fate ove continually digging around in my pocket when I need to slice up some boxes or who knows, save my life?

Any suggestions appreciated.

Is it possible to tighten a the clips? That's only happened to me once and I was easily able to fix it. Other wise you could make use of the lanyard hole on the blur. Otherwise what's wrong with a good old sheath, sheeple?

Clips on pockets will snag. How about clipping the knife to your waistband, with the clip under your belt? This secures the clip and keeps the knife out of sight better, too.

You can also rig pocket sheath that sits upright inside your pocket instead of being clipped to it. Sort of like a pocket in a pocket.

One thing I've done with clips to get them tighter is to take the clip off and use a propane torch.

Bend the screw end slightly so that the clip when screwed down is pushing more against the handle rather than sitting on it (hope this is clear enough). Then, heat to red hot and hold for a minute, then quench in water. Make sure to use a pair of pliars or something similar to hold the clip.
