Hi all,

KnifeKits has disappointed me twice on a current order with what I feel is a reluctance to bear responsibility for their mistakes, and a cavalier attitude toward me as a customer. I am not going to trade with them in the future. I'm not posting to complain publicly about the company, I'm simply taking my business elsewhere.

I would like a recommendation of any other retailers that carry a comparable selection of Kydex and associated tools and hardware.

I am aware of Texas Knifemaker's Supply, but based on their website it appears that they and KnifeKits are affiliated.

Thanks for your help.

Dan

If you just need black Kydex, then Springfield Leather is hard to beat on price.

If you're looking for a better selection and what could very well be some of the best customer service in the industry, check out usaknifemaker.com

I've had pretty good experiences with Knifekits
The website is well organized and has good inventory.

What makes you think Texas and Knife kits are related?

In terms of personal service, Tracy at knifemaker USA runs a good business
He, his wife and the few staff he has - you know if you have a problem it will be addressed one way or another.

I find his website hard to find stuff on
Leather sheath & kydex sheath- it's all mixed up. You have to wade through it all.
"Tek-Lok and sheath accessories" are in their own separate category, not listed as a subcategory of sheaths
When something goes out of stock - it disappears from the website with no mention of it at all...

He deliberately misspells "Pyroceram" as "Pyraceram" - makes it impossible to search for.

-stuff like that.

But if you can memorize the website to know what he has and where to find it, he and his wife run a good business.

The website design, inventory, and prices are nearly exact duplicates.

I believe they are both just using a standard template for a "web store". Plenty of sites have that "generic'' layout.

Eitherway, USAknifemaker.com will likely have better prices on general items that you're looking for. That's been my experience anyway.
