Alternative to orange Kershaw Zing?

Had my heart set on getting an orange knife and just received a Kershaw Zing that was ordered a week ago. To be honest, I don't really like the grooved blade. Is there another knife similar in size, weight and general price range to the zing? One that comes in orange? I would like to get another Kershaw, but will also consider other brands. It will be used for typical EDC, opening boxes, letters, cutting twine, etc.. Thanks!

If you give the Zing a good workout, you might think better of it. I found that the grooves in the blade are really nice for the type of cutting you mentioned. They help guide the blade through paper and cardboard, making it easier to control.

Kershaw Orange OD-1. I "frankened" my OD-1 so that it has orange scales and everything else is DLC coated (black)

You should be able to find either the Od-1 or a Packrat in orange if you look around. Both are Kershaws and should be similar in price.

blade-tech ganyana lite in orange... no flipper, but has a thumbhole you can ghetto wave with a ziptie lol :)

Get the new RANGER Zing!!! It should be appearing on the web any day now. It has ranger green g10 scales and a dlc coated tanto blade without the grooves. I just got some in at my shop and I'm picking one up tomorrow!

Like some have mentioned, the orange OD-1 is probably a good call for you.

Just to give you some more options though, you might hunt for a beautiful orange tyrade:

Oh my, that sounds seriously interesting! I will definitely keep an eye out for it.

Some quick pics of my new Ranger Green Zing (warning, the bottom two pics are huge, and all are of questionable quality. A good digital camera does no good when you don't know how to use it):

So, does it come in Orange too?

I don't think they've made an orange tanto Zing yet. I was just posting those pics because someone mentioned wanting to see some earlier in the thread.

I'm sure you could always buy a regular orange Zing and a tanto Zing and make a franken-Zing. I haven't measured to see, but it seems like the ranger green one's handle is the same size as my orange one.
