are you ready show me your altoids tins boys!!

Peppermint settles an upset stomach, sugar is good for energy and a hard candy can wet a dry mouth.
Also if you have to eat something terrible to survive you can pop a mint to wash the taste away.
A mint or 2 in your tin is brilliant.

Currently my Altoid tin is full of.......altoids. I guess it will come in handy when I run into that tribe of amazon women. Or maybe I stumble upon Castle Anthrax....

some hard candy and gum is a good idea really, i know quite a few people that have candy and gum in there BOB.

I hate chewing gum. People think it gives them a right to smack retardedly. smacking and chewing loud with your mouth open is one of my pet peeves. I make the cats eat in the basement since they have yet to learn to close there mouths when they eat. my son is 4 and he knows better. I went to the end of the long line in the post office yesterday just because the lady behind me was part COW...

It is my opinion that cats never progress past human age three outside of their specialized areas. But I figure any expectations from zero to three are fair game.

Yea i also just dont like cats.... But i got one thats like a dog. i mean it will eat everything. chips, bread, leftovers anything. it will beg standing on its back legs and use its hands to eat. ill put a bowl at a table and it will stand at the table and eat. pretty cool. It will catch a mouse and torture it for over an hour before it eats it, kinda fun and mean to watch.. still dont like cats. if i feed something it better come when i call it.

Just rattle it's treat bag when you call it. It will figure out the drill in a big hurry.

My wife had our multiple cats trained to go to their bedroom at night by snapping her fingers once. Then, when we took the bedroom back and the cats were banished to the basement at night she retrained them to go to the basement with a finger snap. Took about a week to retrain.

One of my office cats used to sit on a desk and box with my Dad. He hit hard! But he never used his claws.

I have heard stories about trained cats but damned if i ever seen one. a snap of the finger... would make my day. They do come when they are hungry thou, normally there food bowl has food in it 24/7 so they can eat when they are ready, but if i grab a can of tuna and tap a spoon to it they run down fast as hell. and they also want you to pet em when they are ready lmao.

Im a dog guy. i never had a dog i couldnt get to come when i call it EVERYTIME after 1 or 2 days MAX.

give a dog a place too sleep and food and it thinks you are a god!! give a cat a place too sleep and food and it thinks its a god!

For this kit I decided I wanted a new knife, my criteria was that I wanted a corkscrew ( some of my trips are urban and might require some wine opening plus I like these for undoing knots when making traps etc ). I also wanted the largest blade I could fit in the kit and it needed to be thin . After some searching I settled on the Victorinox Porter as perfect for my requirements.

Also in the kit I wanted the largest ferro-rod I could fit. The one I got is a fair bit larger than an LMF, I removed the head and it fit perfectly.Added a small LMF striker as well.

Other contents :

A few Bandaids.
A few Steri strips.
P38 can opener.
Safety pin.
Fish hook.
Trolling line.
2 cotton pads.
3 storm proof matches.
Old credit card with Duct tape wrapped around.
Ranger bands.
Small Fox whistle.
Birthday candle.

I think that's the lot although I may well remember something else later, LOL !

That's a pretty solid lineup. Looks like there might be space for couple of iodine tablets, too.
