I was watching Good Eats on the Food Network last night and caught a glimpse of the blade of Alton Brown's pocket knife. He carries a 1670SG10. Good taste! I knew I like the guy. I have seen a couple of Shuns in his kitchen, too. I pointed out to my wife that we have many of the same knives and she kind of rolled her eyes and said something about geek love :D

Im pretty sure hes a spokes person for Shun, so i wouldnt be shocked if there were some kershaw and shun related perks but either-way thats cool.

He carries Kershaws regularly, I've seen him use a leek on the show several times.

Watched a rerun of one of his Feasting on Asphalt episodes earlier this week. He was using what looked like a Blur of some type for cutting into food and when prepping some willow branches for grilling over a fire it sure looked like he was using an Outcast. He called it his "jungle knife".

He's used a Zero Tolerance 301 on that Feasting on Asphalt show before.

His use and recommendation of the Cyclone on the first Feasting on Asphalt show got me to hunt one of those down.

Sorry to bring back an old thread BUT, I was watching reruns on food channel while working on some other things, and on season 12 episode 2 "celeryman" of good eats, he uses a red rescue blur in the begining to cut into a celery root! I love his show and wish it were still on. I like the style he uses, science with a side of humor!

Before wathcing Mr. Brown, I didn't realize there was so much science behind the culinary arts. Love him on Iron Chef now too.

It is because of Alton I know what properties in a steel correlate to their respective elements. He should have been my Chemistry Prof.

It is also because of him I make amazing rib-eye on a skillet :D

I have one of his books that my uncle bought for me when Mr. Brown was promoting/book signing in Austin.
Pretty cool book, it is written the same way he talks. I like the exactness of his cooking techniques.
