What was the knife he pulled out today...i know we talked about the folder he had been using in the past few but he used a fixed blade to cut some little willow trees down...and to cut some donuts...he referred to it as i believe his jungle knife lol

no i knew that one...i was referring to the fixed blade that was in last nights episode....it was black and about 10in long (maybe)....

Kershaw ZT 100, possibly? (Didn't see the show)

YES...that is it....looks to be a good knife...i like it....and go Alton for supporting us knife nuts...

I like the guy, and good for him that he got himself an endorsement deal with Kershaw.

I suppose he wins and Kershaw wins.

I'm pretty sure everybody on the Food Network has themselves a knife deal (and a pot/pan deal, etc, etc).

i think they all have some kinda of line of cookware out, comes with the gig i guess

...and don't get me started about Rachel Ray...she's pure evil, I tells 'ya...pure evil!

I must have missed whichever episode required the fixed blade but on the last Feasting on Asphalt II that I saw, he whipped out a Zero Tolerance folder and I almost fell out of my chair talking to the TV. He was cutting up smoked fish with it. I have seen him numerous times use his Kershaw Blur. He sliced and diced veggies for a stew and cut and ate crawfish cake off the blade. I tell you, he puts other tv cooks to shame. And, the cooking show is very technical and not all touchy feely.
