Last year I donated a Polar Puukko to the Barlett (Ohio) Fireman's Festival along side a VERY fine knife from my good friend and fellow BB member Fred Rowe.
Check out some of these beauts!http://www.britishblades.com/forums/...n's+festival

This year I wanted to do the same, I think its a good cause, so I've put together another puukko....again it pales in significance to Fred's beautiful knives
So the blade is a Kankaanpää 'Sami' blade (105mm Bohler Uddeholm carbonsteel. Slightly convex grind). The handle is Amboyna, gifted to me by HillBill, with spacers of vulc fibre and Elforyn and a brass bolster. Finished to 1200 grit and oiled with Danish Oil (I've decided I'm not a fan of buffing handles now, I prefer a satin finish).
I believe Mr Kankaanpää has now retired, enjoy yourself sir, and thankyou for making some lovely blades
And the obligatory...
As always comments and criticisms very welcome.
Thanks for you time.
