Alumaloy

It's a zinc-aluminum alloy, that is mostly zinc. It's self fluxing .Actually been around for a long time. But I've never used it.
 
I have George. I tried it to fill pot holes in cast AR15 frames. I wasn't impressed.
 
I've got some aluminum welding rod here that I got many years ago from the guy I bought my tanks from. It looks like aluminum, and he said it was used like brazing rod with the oxy/acy setup, but to fix alum. I've never tried it but it's oxidized like crazy just being in the shop.!:eek:
 
I've used both alumalloy brand and the aluminium brazing rods from the hardware store, they are about the same, I thought they work pretty good as long as the surface you are working on is level.
