I have a Gerber Guardian 2.
Knife is a user so I believe I can't hurt it's value by proceeding with the following.
The camo paint job is flaking off.
I want to sand blast it and refinish it.
I was thinking of using Brownells Alumahyde because it is durable.
Easily applied and if thick enough it should provide some thermal protection.
Hot and cold.
Gerber's aluminum handles suck at thermal protection.
Thoughts on subject appreciated.
The blade will get stripped and maybe left in the white or shot with ceracote.
