aluminum handled BM 710's

Just a quick FYI...Thru moteng (a knife distributor), they have an exclusive to distribute a AL handled 710 w/154CM, similar to the original AL handled 710. when it was first released...I think it would be a kick ass knife, with an AL handle, and M-2 blade (when I take my m-2 blade from my 710)...we shall see...as soon as the damn thing comes in the mail ;-)

I just got one....I like the feel of the aluminum more but it has a powdery texture. I wish it was anodized but it gives a very good grip.

AL handles + M2 blade. I like AL scales much better than G10. Better gripp definitely and in my experience it doesn;t scratch as folks complain.

The box for the knife described by dano says that it is an "Axis Special." What makes this knife "special"? Is it a limited run that is collectable? (I might have to run back to the dealer before it's gone).

Edit: Doesn't seem like it's an exclusive(?)
Edit2: Does anyone know if the aluminum handled "Axis Specials" will be offered with M-2?
