I dont know much about knives so please bare with me, i recently had a pro tech godfather stolen from me which i was able to get back, but the person who took it used something like a rust remover and the aluminum handles are no longer black and it looks like a cheap 10 dollar knife you'd get at a gas station, is there a way i can re dip the handles in whatever they were done with originally when they knife was brand new

Welcome! Unfortunately, I don't have any advice for you, but the Tech Support section is mostly for technical issues with the forum itself. This would probably get more attention and better answers in the Maintenance & Tinkering subforum. I asked the mods to move it for you, but you can also start a new thread there. Hope you can get it restored to your satisfaction!

The handle slabs probably had a baked on organic coat (paint). Contact Protech about a factory refinish.

Most Pro Tech knives have anodized aluminum handles.
Generally, there are no really durable coatings that you can conveniently apply at home. If you can post pictures, perhaps we can give you some ideas.

Bummer. The only DIY I can think of is buying some aluma-black solution, but it's not all that great. Otherwise you would need to send it out to be re-anodized or maybe ceracoated.

Contact ProTech, their customer service is really great. I know in the past they've posted stories of rehabbing a knife that was severely damaged in a house fire. They may be able to help you out.

Thanks for the responses, I can't believe i didn't think of contacting pro tech themselves, as for posting pictures of it i totally would but i can't figure out how to upload photos with my reply
