Aluminum vs. cast metal handles?

Which is better for manipulation, the heavier albiet more durable die cast steel handles or the lighter and more likely to dent/bend aluminum handles? What about if you plan on doing some sort of anodizing? Also, just as a side thought, yesterday, with the rostfrei knife I had I could cut myself if I accidnently grabbed the bite handle on a close or ricochet, today it is almost totally dull, and managed to grab the handle and take the knife at full speed three times without anything but a slight bruise, any ideas on how to put a edge on this thing that might stay just a touch longer next time? Albeit I have probably opened/closed the knife about 200 times since yesterday, still seems like it got dull fast. Anyways the aluminum comment is in reference to the next knife I plan to buy, any opinions will be appreciated

I might be wrong, but are you comparing a "diecast jag" with an aluminum jag? If thats the case, both are cast, and in the "aluminum version" its actually zamak which is simply a cheap zinc based steel. In that case, anodization would be impossible.

Cast simply means that they used a mold and poured a molten steel into the mold to create the shape. Cast metal is usally the weakest and cheapest way to mold metals. If they say cast metal, it could be aluminum cast metal.
