Hey all,

I've had a few different styles of custom grips for my griptilian and am just curious if anyone here has had the aluminum version?

Just curious how they will hold up to wear (scratches and dings) and their overall strength as compared to their original handles or WIlkin's G10 version

Thanks for the help!

(any pics if their are any users of aluminum grips would be great, too!)

I have had mine for several months. I EDC a M4 Mini Ritter and it has held up very well so far. I carry it every day. So far so good.

i love them hold up great just got a second set of blue cant wait to drop a blade into them. the black and blue sets get carried daily.

I have only had mine for a few days so I can't speak to wear, however I will point out that they certainly seem very strong and a a bit heavier than the original Noryl GTX scales that come on the Grips.

^ M4 + Wilkins Grips. Nice. The gray blade and blue scales look great!

I've got a couple of Kevin's G10 grips, tempting to grab some of the new alu scales.

I had a pair of black alu wilkins. They were very slippery. Don't know if it was just me.

Mine have been great so far. It's been in my pocket all week. It hasn't seen any hard use but so far the finish looks great. I agree that it is heavier compared to the standard scales and also larger, which works for me. Sorry for the crappy iPhone pics.

What do you have to say in regards to slipperyness? Or how well they will hold up over time.

Thanks

They are pretty slick. I personally wouldn't put these scales on a hard use knife. It terms of how it holds up? If the finish wears, I think it will look good. Kind of like a Boba Fett effect.

Just put this together, more grip with the alum than I imagined. Agree, not a hard user, but a user for sure.Wilkins mini grip M4 002.jpgWilkins mini grip M4 010.jpgWilkins mini grip M4 004.jpgWilkins mini grip M4 007.jpg
