Alumni sheath ?

I just placed an order for a Black alumni at bladeHQ and in the description I read " includes a sheath for pocket carry ".
I've tried pocket slips and find them extra slow so it doesn't really matter, but do they actually come with one ?
I googled it and came up with nothing.

I bought mine at the factory store while there for the 30th BCCI Anniversary this last July.
I bought several of each of the colored ones (not the silver) and my uncle took all but one of each color off my hands.
I need to get me a silver one. They had a great deal on them and I should have picked up more.
 
Alright, then I guess its probably not correct.

I'll be very surprised if it does include a pocket slip for some reason, which of course I have no use for anyways.
 
A pocket slip would double the thickness of the Buck Alumni, negating its usefulness as a very flat gentleman's knife for dress slack carry. I bought mine last spring at a big box sporting goods store - no slip. OH
 
Some of the special or limited editions of the 525 (same size like 524) have been delivered with a leather pouch for carrying in the dress pocket or in the purse. May be these pouches are available at Buck Knives.

Knife and pouch are still thin enough for carrying the alumni as a gents knife.

a slip sheath. I dont think they come with one. the box is pretty small but maybe they have some to send.

Oh okay, thanks for clearing that up.

I wouldn't carry my alumni in a slip if it came with one, I was just wondering if they did as BHQ suggests.
 
As I suspected the alumni did not come with a pocket slip, so I'll let BHQ know.

Came razor sharp btw, a little dirty but a quick wipe down took care of that.

I'd tell ya to be careful but I know you already know that.......so I wont.....:)

good to hear its sharp from the factory.....nothing worse than a brand new not sharp knife. buck does pretty darn good on sharp from factory.

They definitely do in my experience, the 283 is my only knife that wasn't all that sharp.
Everything else I've gotten new from Buck came shaving hairs.
