Good stuff Brian. There's a place here called Watersmeet that looks exactly like that. Before it got all touristy I could spend hours sitting just listening and watching fish jump.

I expected to see that pink knife you made for her. :)

I had my Companion in the pack and my friction folder in my pocket. I wanted to see if it rubbed my leg at all. With it so wide AND so light it never even was noticed!@!

Always nice to see the young ones getting out. With all of todays technology, each and every trip I take with my brother to the park there is less and less children out there. (I really wish he would go somewhere not so busy, though)
 
good stuff, man. good for you for starting out your daughter early loving the outdoors although i don't see her holding her own knife! that's gotta be worth an infraction in these parts :p

Great pics Brian, thanks for taking us along. How old is your boy? My son is upset because I have tomorrow off and going for a hike...I think being in the woods is his favorite activity (he's 12). Your daughter is adorable...I'm just wondering about her Smurf shirt...is that your "hand-me-down"?:D:D

The smurf shirt is actually fairly new. Wow! I asked my wife who's hand me down it was too :)

Son is 18!! He was out with girlfriend but were all going next time.
