I just grabbed this in a trade and I'm very excited. If all of you tried and true Swamp Rat fans have any suggestions or stories you'd like to pass on to a SR noob, feel free to share.

My "I'm not afraid to use it" user Ratweiler:

No stories to tell, but the RatWieler was my first ever Busse Family knife. One of my favorites too! I have beat the crap out of mine (normal camping and chopping duties) and the edge is still going strong!

Great score! And you will love your new Rat!!

Congrats DR73 I think that the Ratweiler is one of the sweetest knives to ever emerge from the Swamp(Next to my Camp Tramp)I don't have any stories really but the CT is made from the same steel diff heat treat and all,and I've carried it on every hike, hunt and camping trip.I've not really pushed it even though I know it'll laugh at every task I throw at it and it's been used for batoning, chopping, slicing I even took it to work and cut steaks with it. Believe me Rats are very versatile knives enjoy and keep us posted on all you use it for (I love pics!)
