Alright, so here's my problem, I sit here in an interior office where I work and I'd really like to have the ability to pick up the local am/fm stations (especially the am ones) but all the radios I've tried to date get no signal in here. The facilities crew here says I can't run any antenna wires out to exterior walls or anything. So... what sort of option do I have? Is there some sort of super de dooper antenna that will help me out?

Most radio stations offer internet streaming now so you might look into that on your preferred stations websites. You might also look into satellite radio and see if they have better interior reception though finding a desktop unit might be a bit of trouble.

Thanks for the suggestion, unfortunately the company gets a bit bent about the use of the bandwidth. The satellite radio is a thought...

An AM loop, homebrewed or commercial, is one of the best antennas for pulling in AM signals.

Can you get any sort of signal at all? If you work inside a modern office thats effectively a steel box or is covered in metalised (shiny) windows its possible you wont be able to receive anything.

Bandwidth is usually an issue if you're on a VPN...If that's the case, try Pandora. They are the only on-line radio I can get thru my company's VPN...They're VERY picky about this bandwidth stuff...

I have a satellite radio boom-box setup and in my apartment it is almost impossible to get a signal at times. I would think that in an office building it would be totally impossible to get a signal.
