It started innocently enough long long ago with my first Ka-Bar USMC, my original "KB7".

2 months ago, I picked up a BK24.

2 weeks ago, I got a BK15.

2 days ago, I got a BK5 and a BK16!

Now I hear voices whispering "Kukri".

Have I become a ... Beckerholic?!

Hey Travis!!
Welcome to the Beckerholic "support group"! Lol :D
Nice collection you've got going!

Don't worry, you're amongst friends. :D Although, we're the worst support group...cause we won't tell you to stop or slow down...

While you are waiting for the kukri, you should get a Bk9!

What can I say... I am an enabler... LOL

Yep, you are. And you are welcome! :D

I know you are new and probably don't know all the rules and regulations so just in case you haven't heard...

YOU CAN'T NOT HAVE A 9! -just ask bighoss

Lol, 9 is indeed a beauty. I'm patiently waiting for a new shipment to come in with my 16 in it. Kinda drooling on the 7 and 11 too. I'm here for some assistance from the support group too

I started 2014 not knowing anything about Becker knives and owning 0. I now have 13 of them. (and I know from what I've seen on this forum that 13 Beckers is a puny collection compared to some)

By the way, not that there are any admission requirements(Beckerhead requirements, yes: Becherholics requirements, no) or anything but it seems to me that if you want to proudly wear the Beckerholic moniker you should add a 9 to your collection...and a 4...and a 2...and a...

Yes......you are certainly a Beckerholic and you need professional help ASAP. Unlike the rest of the members here.....I will not enable you. In fact, to start your recovery process, I would like you to send me all your Becker knives so you will no longer be tempted. I do this only because I care about your well being.

Hi I'm Marty and I'm a Beckerholic. Welcome to the group. The Beckerheads will guide you through the process of recovery. ;)

Of course you are. So is almost everyone else here....I've decided that I'm OK with it, no 10 step process needed. You probably will, too. The "support" of this group is better than therapy, anyway....and includes lots of fresh air, bacon and BK&T cutlery. Welcome aboard.

I'd say you're well on your way to becoming one :).

Although people keep talking about recovery. You people have recovered from this? Not according to some of the "family photos" I've seen around here :P.

Myself, I'm not recovering, I'm just managing to slow the process to one new Becker every year or two :P.

I had 1 (bk2) last year; awaiting 4th and 5th one in the mail. Mailman's probably wondering why I'm holding paint stripper and stainless screws at the front door.

Enjoy!

No, probably not.
Not yet, anyway. You're still dabbling; but you're on the right road. Heck, you don't even have a 2 or a 9....and only one 16???

Oh, I see ... my path through this addiction leads to reaching final enlightenment - becoming a Beckerhead.

There's one, simple, 2 step process in curing a true-blue, full-bore Beckerholic addiction:

Step 1 - Buy a Becker.
Step 2 - Repeat Step 1 until you have all the Beckers you want.

Since a true Beckerholic will never have all the Beckers he/she wants, "Curing Beckerholism" is an oxymoron.
