Am I allowed to post "Want to buy..." on here?

I've looked at all the rules and such, even visited "Wanted to buy" forum and saw not a thing there for the last 100+ days so I'm taking a chance and asking on here as I want to make some attempt at acquiring my dream Busse knives (XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX, both not users). I'm not too sure what the etiquette would be regarding such thing and so here I am.

Let me know what I can or can't do. But one way or another, I want to get my hands on those two knives that I've always wanted since I knew about Busse as a company.

You can post your request in the wanted to buy forum.

REGISTERED USERS - If you have not purchased a paid subscription, you are by default a Registered User. As such, you are not allowed to sell items on the forums. You may post items for Trade in the Wanted To Trade Forums, or post requests for items to purchase in the Wanted To Buy Forums.

You can only see the "wanted to buy" posts if you have a paid membership, I believe a Gold Membership is what is required, registered users only see a blank page.
 
Thanks Mauser but that didn't help as I cannot look into the Wanted to Buy section. Its just all empty. :p

And thanks Leatherman but I don't see "wanted to buy" as part of any pay subscription benefits so it should be open to anyone that registered to this forum.

Edit: Actually, Let me rephrase it. I looked at the membership rules and Wanted to buy forum is opened to everyone yet there is no one there, no post, nothing.
 
Well that's strange, I assumed by the way they word the rules it would work. Sorry I don't know what to suggest now.

By that rule, I should be able to access it and do my requests there. But there is nothing there for the last 100+ days when I did a search on it.
 
all right I guess I'll try to make it more clear

you are not a paid member so you can't sell here
you can't see anything in th wtb section because if you are able to see it that means you probably plan to sell something, but you can't because you're not a paid member
buy all you want but you can't sell

era: tht includes being able to post wtb threads. you can do that do wtb post away. I got a cabs le once while still being an unpaid member

I did not say a peep about selling things as that is not even remotely related to wanting to buy a Busse knife as I made absolutely very clear in my first post.

you can't sell here because you're not a paid member
you only need to seethe wtb threads if you are selling, but you can't sell without a paid membership

you can post, it's not the same as seeing others wtb posts
you are confusing the two things, leather man and I have already said you can't see wtb threads without a paid membership
Mauser and I have said you can post
it's just as the rules you read say
I'm trying to help out but you are still assuming you not seeing other web thread means you cant post your own and man it's not easy doing this in a phone
 
Ah now that's a different way of going about the Wanted to buy thread. I did assume that since I couldn't see what other people were asking for that the forum section was not functioning right. I had no need to sell things but I had need of asking so I thought I would see how folks were asking or such as a "Wanting to buy" etiquette and know that the forum section was actually functioning.

Would be much easier for everyone if it went like this:

"You can post as many 'want to buy' threads as you wish but you wont be able to see anyone else threads to prevent non-paying members from selling to folks asking unless you pay for the membership which the whole forum will be open for you to see."

yeah sorry I couldn't be more clear,I'm trying to do this on a phone and am really distracted and rushed but I'm gla you got it now, good luck finding what you need from there, I've had some luck finding a busse on the wtb forums as well
 
the wtb section is a good place to post the knives you want, its not as active as the rest of the exchange but every time I have posted up something I wanted I got offers pretty quickly.

On the other hand Dbarnes has a hell razor for sale on the exchange right now thats never been used.
 
I saw that but my girlfriend who wants one wants it to be flashy and colorful. So that Hell Razor is a no go. :p

Not sure if you can add a signature block on your posts, but that's a good way to let folks know what you are looking for as well.

But I am appreciative of your effort.

If I do succeed in getting that particular Busse knife, it will be my very first one ever and if that WTB thread of mine works out in the end, I will pay for a Gold Membership.
