Am I certifiably insane? I am not a knife collector. I have bought 2 knives in the past 5 years. (1) BM 350 (2) Small Sebenza. I use the Sebenza for everyday carry and use. This is a very nice knife. Can it take the abuse? I wanted to buy a good knife instead of buying a new lower priced knife every few years. How many people use their Sebenza as there everyday no holding back workhorse blade, and for how long? Would you do it again? What have you put it through? Are you satisfied?

Thanks

I have carried a Sebenza(large) for the past year, exclusively! For me the same knife for a year says something about the knife! Before I carried a new knife for a few weeks then found a fault and it was off to next new knife. Many of these were custom knives at that. I finally found the knife I want to carry bar none, the Sebenza. It is everything I was looking for in a knife; excellence, top rate materials, and precision. Nothing I've tried locks up and gives me total confidence in it like the Sebbie!:D

I've carried a small plain Sebenza everyday for two years and use it for every day cutting chores. I have a large Sebenza for industrial strength jobs.

I just got a small Wood Sebenza that I will carry everyday. I sent the small plain back for reconditioning and it's going to my son.

Yes, your Sebenza can take the abuse. My small CGG (line drive) has been part of my EDC for the last two years. It gets used for all of my daily (cardboard, plastic ties, insulation, cloth, etc.) cutting chores.
I have WANTED a large Sebenza ever since my small arrived, but have never NEEDED the large Sebenza...

I've carried my small for 3 yrs as edc and use it for everything that needs cutting, it has never let me down and I don't treat it gingerly either. My large is mainly used in the kitchen, needless to say, the small is my "work-horse."

I have used my large classic MM numbered Sebenza for quite some time and I am constantly amazed not by its edge holding (though that is very good) but rather the ability to resharpen with ease and the general standard of both construction and attention to detail. Amazing it the word I chose to use. My small wood spiral damascus model it used for lighter chores and more as a dress knife, but I have used it for cutting boxes up etc as well! Holds an edge very very well and cuts even better. My ideal EDC I think now would be an unique graphic with a raindrop damascus blade... Large this time.

..........long time, no see. Good to hear from you!:D I would ammend your choice only to be a wood inlaid w/ironwood, large Classic of course! :)

Thanks! Don't get much access to a computer at present, so I post when I can!

As to the woody... Nice I agree, but I don't have a graphic model! So one of those it must be!:D

Either way drool tastic!:p
