I have a large micarta and a small CF and I am thinking I like the CF version better.
 
No, not really, it all depends on what YOU like...I like my small micarta... Never had a CRK's carbon fiber. I like more grip.

The large is better.

You should go to the doctor and get a CT scan.

You might have some neurons that are misfiring.
 
I like to keep the small slim as possible for pocketability, micarta on the large adds robustness to an already solid knife.
 
Your not crazy, I've always said the small CF is special but then again maybe we're both crazy
 
Has the CF on the Sebbies been blasted so it's got that grippy finish or is it the glassy looking CF that's a lot smoother? Thinking of picking one up but only want one if they have the blasted CF which from what I can tell from these pics it's been blasted.
 
If they breed for you, then you'll have the best of both worlds, a large with Carbon Fiber =)
 
I think I didn't explain it right. I am thinking trade on the LG Micarta for an LG CF I've always come back to a LG Micarta when I have sold them off in the past but the CF variant I find hard not to like. The Micarta has been a CRK favorite by many for years while the CF is a niche for sure. I am thinking I may be a nicher though
 
I knew what you meant and I think you should get a large CF if you can find someone to trade with. I agree with you on that.

I have a small Seb with carbon fiber. I don't know if the CF has been "blasted" per se, but it is grippy. I polished the scale on mine a bit, so it was smoother and shinier. The CF Sebbies are definitely sweet, I love mine.

I asked Larry Connelley the same question because I had noticed that the one I saw on youtube had a shiny reflective CF scale and mine was a more dull, less-reflective CF. Apparently, the first run of 50, the ones that are numbered, have a shiny CF face and the ones after the first run have a blasted CF, which is fine with me. I think the blasted CF looks nicer and classier anyway.

I'm also really impressed with my large CF Seb but I've admittedly been worried about carrying it because the rivets on my jeans love to scratch scales and I'm worried that they'll scuff the CF scale up too much.

I would love to feel how light the small CF feels in hand. I love the lightweight feeling of the large CF.
