I just made deal from scales to my victorinox. But how insane I am if I am to pay three times more from the scales than the knife? But still, macassar ebony is not most common or cheapest wood there is...

And it should look very nice on my Victorinox Tinker... but still, scales are triple worth of my the victorinox :D

Yes, you are insane. You should invest instead in an inlaid Sbenza or custom equivalent, and then in an incredible exhibition of will-power, send it to me for safekeeping.:D
 
Temporary insanity hits us from time to time. Not a big deal. I would like to see photos of the finished work. I have an order in for some green canvas micarta scales for a Vic Fieldmaster I want to dress up myself.
 
There are some very nice scales that have been made for Victorinox SAKs. I remember seeing one member around here with stag scales on a Swisschamp. The Swisschamp with stock scales is pretty big to begin with, but with those stag scales...
 
1. Most people here are insane.....we are not called Knife Knuts for nothing
2. The wood is excellent!
 
VERY nice work, excellent wood. The scales are not triple worth of the Victorinox, only maybe triple the cost. Now the whole knife is worth 4 x as much! :)
 
Gorgeous and close to unique! Just consider how mundane life would be if we did not have little moments of insanity.

I know I'd be richer and more bored... with only Few SAK's. No kershaw's, no spydies, no customs, no custom scales ^^

If this is insanity, I think I rather be insane rather than sane...
