My wife is away for the weekend so I was sitting playing with my Sebenza as I watched a video ( I get told off if I do it in her company - that and picking my feet - what is the problem with these females ? :D ) having finished the ironing like the good boy that I am.

After repeated opening and closings I find it a bit umcomfortable to push the scale to one side to close the knife. I have a small lefthanded regular and I think it is the combination of the ridges on the locking bar and the shorter locking bar on the small sebie that give this effect.

I have a large classic and this is not a problem at all and I find the locking bar on that much easier to push aside (longer leaver???)

Not that this ever stops me playing with my sebie but does anyone else get this happening??

I wish I had a small classic to compare and do some scientific experiments but my unique graphic one is not due until some time next spring (my own fault as I have now ordered it with a SS damascus blade :) )

I had one small that the locking bar was quite stiff, even though I bought it used. SO I think it just varies.

Hello Harvey,

Not only a wus, but a weakling, and a disgrace to English manhood!!

The knife, the Ironing, picking your feet, only watching videos when your wife is out (and I bet they're naughty ones too!).... and as for 'playing with my sebbie'.......... don't blame me if you go blind!!

Seriously though, the locking bar will surely ease with use... dont forget, even though the knife is smaller than the regular, it can be even more difficult to push the locking bar across... shorter lever = more effort.

I can't wait to see that small decorated with the damascus blade!!

Enjoy your new somellier blade at Christmas.

ROTFLMAO That's the funniest stuff that's been posted here in a long time !

You're brutal savantuk. :D I see that we're gonna have to walk gently with you around. LOL ;)

savantuk had better be a lot nicer to me or I will tell his wife how much a sebenza REALLY costs :D

as to the corkscrew I had a mail at work before I left to say he was checking with their supplier to see if they had them in stock, if so should get it before Christmas

Dirty videos MOI :D

Actually I watched Witness to the mob, pretty good I thought although not as much mindless violence as goodfellas (now where did I put that large cooks knife?)

I do most of the ironing in our household as I do my shirts much better than my wife. When I was in the TA she once ironed my combat jacket and I would have been marched off the square to the guard house if I had worn it like that.

You tell mine, and I'll tell yours.... so there!!!

Ok, truce. If you did, I'd have to emigrate, and I doubt even Australia would be far enough away

Mad wife with Sebenza in each hand = sudden and violent death.....

Anyway, I'm expecting some slippers, a new pipe, and if I'm really, really lucky, a new teddy bear. So I can't tell.....I wouldn't want to miss them, would I?:grumpy: :barf: ;)

My son is shouting for me to go downstairs and watch postman pat with him so its time to go.

Go and have a hunt around the house and see if you find that teddy bear :D

Talk to you soon Doug
