I have been into knives for a while but have only been sucked in by Chris Reeve Knives a couple of years. One of the first that I saw was the Sebenza with the Pheasant Tail Graphic and I have been looking for one since. The last one that I saw was for sale was back in 2012. So am I chasing a Unicorn here? There do not seem to be many out there and I would love to get my hands on a small Sebenza Pheasant Tail but I am starting to lose faith. Is there any known numbers of how many were made. I guess I just need to be patience but if you have any suggestions on locating one it would be great

If you can't find one, CRK can produce one for you if you are willing to wait.
 
Buy a membership here and post a Want To Buy. They aren't common, but they do exist.
 
I snagged one off the popular auction site a year or two ago... No box, no paperwork and paid more than I wanted for it.
It's at crk getting a spa currently.
Just keep looking or maybe get a paid membership and put it in the wanted to buy section.
I would consider a trade if you've got a small native American... Lol

I think Facebook is a good place to search, I had 3 or 4 sites I would check multiple times daily.
I wish I knew lone wolf's honey holes that she finds her treasures.
It's one of those things if everyone knew about them they wouldn't be any good
I saw a nib "In God we trust" sell for a premium a few months ago and I was truly shocked at the selling price.

They can create custom one time graphics for you. You can either create your own graphic that's similar to the Pheasant Tail, or ask if they'll make a one time Pheasant Tail for the custom cost. I think it was $150 extra last time I had one done.
 
Due to the pheasant tail being a cgg I do not believe they will make one. They can and will make UGs that are similar to others but once the cgg's are discontinued they will not make them again.

You are correct.

There is a good CRK BST on f-book that is great for looking to get one of those rare pieces. Good luck. Tough to find, but not a unicorn. :)
