I am trying to grab all of the best value folders out there.
If you all could help with the list, I would appreciate it.
The folder has to be one hand open and close to fit the bill.
Here is what I have so far:
I grabbed both the Cold Steel Lawman and Mini-Lawman per STR's reviews, and he was dead on with his write-up on these knives.
I have the Ontario Rat folder, and what a great deal that is.
I grabbed a Persistence, but gave it to a friend that was carrying some gas station piece of junk. I will try to get another soon.

What else is there? One of those knives where you say, it is how much? But because the knife is so affordable, not so expensive.
Thanks

Good value knives imo...

Kabar Dozier knives $20ish
Boker Trance $25ish
Browning Ice Storms (made by Mcusta) usually $35ish on the forums here
Buck Vantage Pro $45ish
Opinels $10ish
Frost Moras (Sweden?) $10+ <- duh, fixed blade. sorry!
Spyderco Byrd line $10-24

The best value knives that I have owned have been:

Opinels
Boker Exkelibur
Kershaw Skyline
Kershaw RAM
Buck Vantage Pro
Kershaw OD-1
Benchmade Rant (fixed blade)

I'll probably think of more later...

If it has to be one hand open and close, I would add:

Spyderco Tenacious

Higonokami (Japanese Carpenter's knife) is a friction folder so should be one hand open and close I guess (it doesn't lock)

There are a lot of other high value, must-haves in my opinion, but the other ones I have don't fit your criteria, so I'll leave them off.

Take a look at the Kershaw line, I'm sure you will find something that will suit your needs. Look around for the best prices on ebay or the internet and you will find deals 1/2 of retail. The reason I mention ebay is before you pay for an unknown entity, try a used one.

That Higonokami looks amazing! I might just get one!

Is Higonokami just a style of blade? Can you recommend a manufacturer or site to pick up a Higonokami?
