lachine = "La Chine"? Do you speak French too?

Greetings, there's a reasonable number of Chinese folks on BladeForums. I'm from Hong Kong, so I guess I'm from the Mainland too. :) I'm glad to see China's Internet-using population increasing.

I'm actually interested in acquiring some of the knives you mentioned in your previous post. I'm going to look through that website you linked.

dao.com is pretty cool. I visit frequently for the nice pics and information.

Chris Reeve: Sebenza and Project 1
Bechmade: So many I don't remember
Microtech: LLC
Al Mar: SERE
Camillius: Fisk Bowie
Dozier: Agent
Himalayisan Imports: WWII Khukuri
Hanwei: Tiger Katana

Also a few damascus custom bowies.

I need more knives.

nice link! are there any knifestores in China? I'll pay a visit someday.. My ancestor's village is in GuangDong..

Sam

samo, you really should pay a visit. China, overall, is getting pretty respectable in terms of the standard of living.

I'll assume that the knives will be terribly expensive though. Western stuff is in high demand, and I hope that the Chinese can manage to acquire a sense of national identity and style, without resorting to copying the American/Western lifestyle.

chris reeve project and sebenza,MT LCC,al mar sere are all my favorite knives.i have plan to buy them next year.Maddog is my most favorite.
because combat knife is illegal in China,so there are not many public knife_selling websites, but you can post the threads in above forums, then you can contact dealer using e-mail.

Don't think you're the first, there are lots of Chinese nationals around.
I'm born in HK and immigrated to Canada for roughly 7 years. I don't write chinese well but I could damn well hold a conversation in Cantonese and still read the chinese newspaper and stuff.

well, what lachine meant was : "Is he the first Chinese mainlander in this forum?" Think I came across a few dudes from China in the Forums.. They come and go.. lachine ~ You write pretty well in English.. Congrats dude! :D I speak dialects rather than Mandrin.. Wished I learned it when I was young.. :(

Sam

...but I can't read chinese :( (half chinese, born in uk).

Is there any way to view it in english?

Currently over the moon about my Tachyon, but over the years I've accumulated a few others, mostly folders:

PCC Barry Wood folder/Kuzan Oda Tanto
Spyderco Terzoula C15/C19/Calypso Jr/Navigator
BM AFCK M2/42A
Ka Bar USMC Knife
Puma Button Lock Folder
Gerber Mk II

My greatest regret (the one that got away) was not buying an Emerson custom in the shop in Hong Kong when I got my C15. It only cost about twice as much (~£300) AND I HAD THE MONEY! In fact I could have bought two. I just hadn't adjusted to the idea of spending that much on a knife.

Th C15 was good though, the one with the Al scales, no other knife matched up for many years, that knife was my EDC for nearly 10 years! So many times I nearly bought a knife and thought, "this just isn't as good"
