Am I the only one?

Maybe I'm a pack rat, or sentimental, or whatever, but am I the only one who has never sold any of their blades? I see a lot of, just not for me let me sell this, or I'm funding another blade so I'm selling these.

I've given a couple away to family members, but none of my customs or long wait blades. Part of it for me is the wait, the anticipation of getting it. I wasn't too happy with how some turned out, but figure it will be a cool collection for my sons to fight over some day. I can't imagine what my safe is going to look like on 20 years.

I've moved my fair share to purchase others.

I think I have sold 12 or so Busse, and one custom.

I've only got a limited amount of money to invest in knives.

The last 4 or so Busse's I've sold have been the most painful, because the money did not go to more knives or guns!

It went to take the edge off my accountant's royal screw up!

I guess in that aspect I've been lucky because I've never been in a situation where I had to get rid of my toys to pay a bill. So yea I can imagine that would suck. Hopefully it won't ever be a choice I must make

Bought several to give as gifts and did so, I have sold the sum total of 1 ever and that was to fund optics, I happened to have two more similar blades so it was not totally lost to me.

I have just begun with this obsession. Have purchased about 25 Bussekins in around 18 months, and although I could sell a couple that don't really fit - I have yet to do so. Fortunately, this has come along at a time in my life when I can afford such indulgences...;-)

I've sold a few, regret 1 or 2, but I'm happy with what I have and what I've got coming or in the works:D

For a long time I just hung on to all the knives I ever bought. Then as time went on my collection was simply getting too big with a silly amount of money sitting around doing nothing.

I sold down the collection quite drastically and kept my absolute favourites. Funnily enough I have not purchased any knives since!!

I am very happy with the ones I kept and feel that they cover every possible need that could arise :)

I did this with all the brands that I am into.

My collection is complete :D:D

Sold one that wasn't getting any use and I have 2 others variations of the same model.
Gave a few away and recently donated one for sale to save a small australian business providing outdoor gear.

I'm in a situation similar to "giant1"s but am still trying to decide which ones "cover all my needs", which are "I don't need but I really want" and which are "I like it but I can live without it". Having sold about a third of my (former) collection, I sometimes have difficulty living up to our "NO REGRETS" attitude. I find it the lesser of evils to part with a fine blade that I but fondle and admire, allowing others to do the same (and possibly use them) rather than short myself or others to attempt new endeavors. Not fortunate enough to have essentially unlimited funds available. Such is life.

I've only actually sold one. The original owner is a buddy of mine and after I stripped it, he saw it and immediately had sellers remorse, and to be honest I had a little bit of buyers remorse too so I sold it back to him for the same price plus a 12 pack to replace the beer I drank while I was working on it. He's currently trying to sell the last TGLB I bought for me because I decided that I want one with different handles (and I just have fun stripping them to see what's underneath that paint. Lol!).

I've sold a couple kin, and put few Busse up for sale, but off the top of my head I can't think of any INFI that I've actually sold

Sometimes people need money fast for whatever reason. Knives are a easy way to get fast money. Most knives can be replaced.
I've bought and sold and bought again the same type knife a few times.
My knife and my Dog are not on the same page.

There's a Market for this stuff........Noooooooooo....I thought he who had the most toys at the end was the winner....;):D
