Hi all,
I'm a bit confused
I posted a question about integral bolsters over in the traditional corner.
They were all very helpful over there, but another question entered my head.
If the 301 has one piece liner and bolsters, and the liners are steel
Are the bolsters polished stainless steel?
I've heard them referred to as Nickel silver on YouTube videos

Thanks for your help
Take care

I think that the integral bolster, liner and escutcheon tower are all nickel silver and that the unit is made using sintered nickel silver.

Thanks Bert
So the liners are nickel silver as well?

I've always assumed the whole thing was stainless steel. But I've never seen an official comment from Buck about it.

I think I was the one that let slip by the liners were SS. Bert is on target again. Blades and springs are SS. Bolsters and liners and the black sawcut pillar shield are one piece NS. Some of you metal people can explain how you form such stuff from 'powder' which is how this is done. Lots and lots of pressure I am guessing.

Its funny I have been to the factory three times and never went on the tour because I was doing BCCI stuff.

Maybe one of the production guys will read this thread and give a good explanation......hint, hint. Mr. Hubbard.

Thanks guys
That's great information
Now I know, think I'll get on the website of my favourite retailer
Take care

All I know is that they are of one piece and the Buck's are stronger than the competition, which I have proven through use many times.

That's why I wish Buck would make more patterns in their 300 line.
