My wife says that I have an addiction to knives. The definition of addiction reads, "the fact or condition of being addicted to a particular substance, thing, or activity." What do you think?

Constantly checking (hourly) bladeforums for any info concerning the sale of either new or old Busse knives.
Daily check (every several hours) of the Busse combat knife website checking on the status of my orders.
I eat every dinner using one of my Busse knives.
I always sharpen my Busse knives in front of the TV every day.
There is no hair left on my arms or legs from checking the sharpness of my Busse knives. (my wife hates this part)
My index finger is all calloused from checking the sharpness while sharpening.
I daily handle all 29 of my Busse knives and kin. (this might be a sign of something wrong)
I purchase Busse knives for family as gifts with a full explanation as to why the knife is so special. Not sure everyone shares my enthusiasm. :)
I look forward to Wednesday's more than any other day waiting for Jerry to announce the new Wednesday Busse offerings.

There is more, but the more I read this, the more I may be answering my own question as I need to go check the forum again to see any new offerings.

I am afraid your wife's analysis and diagnosis is correct. Seek Professional help immediately, with proper counseling and treatment you can live a normal life-Good luck

It sounds as if an intervention is necessary. In the meantime, until you get yourself properly diagnosed and under control, I'll be happy to keep a watchful eye over your most prized blades and bussekin. PM with my address is inbound!

My wife says the same and asks if she needs to have an intervention. I just tell her at least it's not strippers or drugs! I could be into worse things. She concedes that point. I just get her one every now and then. I laughed when she tried to nab my Draco folder the other day though. I bought the SHE for her.

I am not addicted to knives.

I have developed a compulsion to check only the Busse subforum on this website, but that is a conditioned behavior caused by the marketing and manufacturing system currently employed by Busse Combat.

I have an affinity for Busse knives based on aesthetics and heirloom quality construction.

The current modus operandi is quick, limited, probably never see again models.

This has enticed me, a firearms aficionado, into temporarily refocusing exclusively on Busse weekly offerings.

I am not addicted to knives. I am addicted to Busse quality and their repeating opportunity to buy things I will likely never have the chance to in the future.

besides I don't own 29 busse/kin that sounds just like my life the sharpening watching tv thing (do you have to do that every time we sit down to watch something. hear this a lot) usely just tell her hun I could sell all of them pick up narly drug habbit would that be better???

I hope not, because that would mean I'm addicted too! I have my 47th Busse (in the last 12 months) in the mail shipping to me right now.

It's comforting to know that I / we are not alone. I just feel sorry that so many people don't know what a good knife is.

Obviously there are a bunch of addicts. I mean look at last week's guess thread, over 10k views in 2 days!

In short, yes. You have an issue/problem. I have posted about this massive problem in the past. If you don't seek professional help (and on the double I might add) you'll likely wind up broke. What you will have are cabinets full of unused cutlery and the madness associated with our delightfully sinister malady.

One large reason I am single. I don't care much for girlfriends telling me that I have a lot of knives, when they have 20k worth of shoes or handbags. I just tell them they are collector items with a very good return on investment. My last two girlfriends, however said nothing. They were girlfriends though and I just got lucky enough to have them both over together at the same time a lot. OK I got a little off topic there.:D

Good luck my friend
You will need it to find old school Busse knives from the 1980ies to complete your collection
:D

Anyone reading or posting on this thread is addicted, the only difference between being addicted to INFI versus Booze, or drugs, is that drugs are illegal (in Most states), consequently Let's Drink and Buy Infi!!!

Yes. :o

Only advice I can give you is to NEVER try to work Andy's corner.
He'll cut you... BAD... --- ;)
