Amarillo Bone?

That would be good guess. Amarillo is the Spanish word for yellow.

I just hope you didn't mean Armadillo Bone!

Here's one from bf.com member and custom knife maker Todd Davison in natural Armadillo shell scales. I have seen both dyed and natural and prefer the natural look myself.

Shell or Hide what ever. Still ugly as hell to me.

d.p. brings up a good point as I have found these are not nearly as popular as Todd's stag, wood, bone, pearl or other exotic scaled knives, however, I would submit that these Armadillo scales are quite uncommon as oldrifleman points out.. And to see these unusual scales on any slipjoint by any maker, make it a rare specimen indeed.

Best,
Anthony

I think the Armadillo is quite beautiful!
But I'll taste/eat anything:D!
My brother thinks everything is ugly:grumpy:, and only eats peanut butter and jam, and burgers and fries and the like!
It's in the eye (taste) of the beholder:eek:!
Well, off to my Radicchio and Tofu stir-fry!! Yum!!:D:D

P.S. I guess if you dyed it yellow, you'd have (drum roll please!)
Amarillo Armadillo!:D:D

ooohh, that hurts my eyes!

"Bear ArmaRILLO not dillo Barlow" (quote)
