December 2008 and this is your first post? Holy smokes.

Awesome kydex work, I really dig the piggyback setup. What's the handle on the firesteel of the BK2 setup?

Thanks! Its a spark plug. I thought it was kind of funny. I tend to lurk all over the site, but once I got into Beckers and learned so much off this forum I figured I'd better contribute.

Well, we are most glad you did. I like that rig. Looks like a good go to setup, covering all your bases.

That patina looks familiar, not sure where I seen it before, but it sure does look good. :D

Welcome, seems you been lurking, stick around, we're glad you're here.

Thanks, Moose. Ya, I "might" have borrowed that idea from somewhere on here. Imitation is the most sincere form a flattery, right? I really like how the horseradish BK2 turned out, though.

Thats gotta be the most creative firesteel handle out there. Nice patina on the 9 too, I want to do that to mine but I've decided to be lazy and wear most of the coating off before I try it.

I'm glad you're here. Now post up some video on how that spark plug contraption works. :D Where's the coil? :p

talk about a fire piston:D wow:::eek:

dude that is awesome, I like humble beginnings if you call that amateur work I'd like to see you stuff when you have more experience under your belt..

2+ yrs 4 posts is very good..... more reading/doing then posting I like it.... some people only been a here a month and have 1200 or so...... hmm, all things relevant. :D

Thanks for the comments, guys.

Hmmmm, hooking up a big ol coil on that thing might indeed be video worthy!

Silent John-I'm compensating for something....No, I guess I don't really have a reason. I almost wish I would have used a shorter one so it would fit the sheath better, but man does this thing put out the sparks.

Nice work! I really like that spark plug firesteel, very original. Its fit for an auto mechanic :D

must be quite a sight to behold and it makes sense longer strike more sparks better chance to start a fire

I'd like to see a vid of it starting a fire

I was really trying to figure out the spark plug... never thought it was for making sparks, literally.

I was thinking NGK plug, maybe a Japanese ATV - really worried about fouling plugs or something. Now I feel like a silly goose.

great spark thrower. nice sheath too :)

i like piggy backers
