I have been eyeing this knife for a while on Collectorsknives. I finally took the plunge and boy am I glad! This thing is nothing short of amazing! F&F is extremely well done. Its a 6 blade Congress and there is no rubbing which is a feat in itself. The bone is beautiful as well and from the description the steel is simple carbon so Im happy with that! Its just under 4". Its one of those knives that is unusual and so nice you think hard about whether or not to use it...much if at all!

How about the weight, do you notice if its much heavier? Do the liners between layers sit up or are they flush to the springs on the inside creating a hollow? Great looking piece by the way.

Weight isnt bad and it carries nice. I dont notice if its heavier than my +4" Winchester Congress but Im sure it is. Liners come up at the ends are and really nicely done. Blades fit perfectly!

What a beauty................I have a number of there congress knives, but I have to say that the rounded bolsters feel the most natural in the hand

Great knife Dave! I've bought a few Bulldogs from Mike over the last few years, iirc a 25th anniversary Cuttin' Horse in buffalo horn circa 2004, and three of the Ky Derby sowbellies from 1984. I was very impressed with the thin blades and ease of honing a razor edge on them, as well as F&F. There may have been a few more I've purchased and since gifted, but I'm very sure I have purchased none in the Congress pattern. I might have to do some scouting for one after seeing that beauty of yours, congrats!

Nice, I have basically the same knife but only 4 blades and stag (edit: Arathol has the same!). That is some great jigged bone!

I too like the older Bulldog knives. I have looked at some of the 4th generation Bulldog knives and they are just not the same. The older ones seem to have a sense of well made tool.

I've been eyeing that one on Collectorsknives since around Christmas, congrats, carry and use it in good health.

Its a beauty!! I love these three spring 6 blade congress. Congrats on a great trigger pull.

Howdy Dave, that's is a beaut all right, great score my friend, I recently sold a Bulldog that was exactly like you said yours is, fantastic fit and finish, this particular knife had stunning Stag with quite a unique "shelf" in the Stag, I have to sell some knives to replace incomings.
Nice to see, and thanks for sharing that beauty.

Nice score Dave! That knife looks like a beauty for sure.

It's amazing how they can pack so many blades without any rub.

Thanks guys! Getting a soft spot for Congress patterns. I would love an old Case but they go for a real premium and the new ones have odd blade shapes. Some of the other brands have some fantastic Congress patterns. I like the skinnier (narrower top to bottom) more curved patterns myself. I prefer the under 4 inch size as well, so many of the current Congress patterns (4 blade) are usually 4+ inches.
