Hey Brothers,

Wanted to share some tasks that were accomplished with a Busse SFNO ( Special Forces Natural Outlaw to nooobs).

This is first and foremost not a fairy tale.

Please post your INFI ACCOMPLISHMENTS HERE! Not BS. Just Facts.

I once sliced thru an orange with my N.I.C.K. knife!!!!!

I love it when guys rag on their buds about spending too much $$ on a piece of equipment that could save your life. Wanna bet Mr. Ka-Bar will be ordering an ASH-1 ASAP. I would have loved to have seen the look on his face.

Ka-Bar: cheap
SFNO: not at all cheap
Mr. Ka-Bar's face when handed his knife whacked in two: PRICELESS!

I learned a long time ago when getting heavy into bass fishing that going with the cheap stuff you just waste time and money upgrading and upgrading until you get to the top shelf stuff. Never skimp on the tools of your trade or hobby.

BTW knife_hunter, please tell your bro thanks for his service and we are glad that he is home safely.

Great idea. Let's just be careful not to turn this into a "bash" against other brands. At least that is my pov.

knife hunter: Are you looking for stories about how we have tested out knives or hard tasks we used them to complete? Or both? :)

Well Kabar is junk.... Used my USMC model for chopping fire wood... An hour into it off flew the blade from the tang.. still never found the blade... I took apart the handle and just threw it into the fire.... Speaking of batoning, 2 weeks ago I batoned my pumpkin warden through my crkt m16 folder blade, no real damage on the GW but the crkt was destroyed... I also used my p warden yesterday for extracting a bold in a conctete floor with epoxy coat... I basically used it like a chisel along with a hammer and rag.. I blunted the tip a little but I can always resharpen it easily... Sorry Steelnut, That conxex edge you put on my p warden is no more... I'm buying a belt sander and strop...

GREAT STORY MISTA T.. I need you to do me a favor, beat up the snake/sj. I know it's perty but is a perfect user..

I pounded the tip of my CG BATAC through a piece of concrete just to see how tough it was. Not how I usually treat my knives. All it received were some scratches and slight dulling. But not much. Still nice and pointy. In fact it's one of the videos on our blog!

Ham Solo I totally agree as far as bashing others. That wasn't my intention either. Also, very tickled you replied cause your site is so incredibly helpful.:D:thumbup: But to answer your question I would love stories too. Not as good as a video, but better than not knowing. Hopefully, the story telling will allow some more feedback from those that don't have expertise, equipment, or time to make.

Check it out knife data link folks if you haven't. Its killer!

BUT KABAR IS CRAP..... First hand tested and confirmed....
I stand by what I say.:p

No worries. I was not commenting on any post in particular. I just didn't want this thread to get derailed. But I value all of your opinions. That's how I learn new things.

Does anyone remember the story where BOSS HOG used one of his knives to pry open a panel on a vehicle to help in opening the door or allowinf the passengers to get oiut. Sorry if I am way off. It's a little vague. But it was pretty cool.

I recently opened a LEGAL sized envelope with a little assault shaker, it ripped it wide open! There was no damage at all and it seemed to be asking for more! LOL, just for fun :D These blades are ATOMIC

Whoah. Post pics!!!

This past weekend I put a CG BATAC through the gauntlet of what I would use a camp knife for.
Was primarily seeing if it would replace my Basic as a Hiking Buddy - which it did :)

Used it to pry apart some rather large pieces of Oak for Firewood, Batonned some for the kindling, and Made a BUNCH of Wood curls to get the kindling going well, Tried a little chopping as well.

All in all it was about an hour workout - and that bad boy would still shave

BTW Primary reasons it beat the Basic out was the extra blade weight and the thinner stock.

There was one part of the test though that sucked.
I realized that I really want a FBM to replace my hatchet, and to make matters worse - I have no idea how long it will take in order for that to happen.
Sobb, Sobb, Sniff, Sniff.
