I have a very rare and special knife for sale today that I received
right after Christmas. Because this knife is so outstanding that I
am offering it for sale even though it is a non-HI Knife.
This special knife is a Dhankuta Tin Chirra, made by Dahnkuta's
Kami. This no Kami mark on the blade.
The sheath is decorated with a carved figure of King Prithivi Narayan sha.
I couldn't find any story about the knife being used by a king. The Dhankuta
Kami made the knife and put a carved figure of King Prithivi Narayan sha on
the sheath. The back side of the sheath has a four lanyard ferrule. The four
lanyard holes are for wall hanger.
When this knife arrived in Reno, there were three places that broke off
the sheath during transit between Nepal and the U.S. I put matching
wood and glue on the broken pieces and now the sheath is stronger
than it was.
This knife and sheath is an amazing work of art that I have never seen.
If you want to add this beautiful, rare knife and sheath to your collection,
now is the time to take advantage of this very rare opportunity.
First come; First served.
Overall length --18 3/4''
Weight --27 oz
Spine thickness --1/4''
White metal bolster
Half chiurwa satisal wood handle
Sisau wood scabbard
Sharp edge
Rare one for your collection at $195.
