Very nice pictures. Were you guys doing a class there, or just recreation? And what were the temps like at elevation?

Great trip. I liked that you put the info sites up to read as well. Very informative, and had to be a great time.

Usually around 90 F in Lone Pine (Alabama Hills0, but the top of these mountains was in the 70's F. One of the days it was warmer than Death Valley in Lone Pine, CA. No class, this was my vacation from it.

I hate typing, this just makes it easier. Glad you enjoyed it.

Thanks for sharing the pictures. I think Lone Pine is where the movie "Tremors" was filmed. I believe I saw Lone Pine in the credits one of the many times I have enjoyed that movie. Anyway, all the pictures are great. Thanks again for taking us along.

Now there is a cult classic movie! I like that movie with Kevin Bacon. Reba is classic in that one.

Bearthedog, you have a great eye for capturing a scene in a picture. Very good shots! Enjoy your pictures and forays.

That movie was like Jaws on dry land. Creepy!

This further cements in my mind that the Sierras must be one of the most beautiful places on earth! It's a long haul from the east coast, but I am gonna have to go there next year.
