Went with my two sons today before they went back to school. They had a great time, and my youngest finally found knives he likes. I found some knives I've wanted for a while, one being a grail of mine. Enjoy.
First I bought was this Camillus 4 line TL-29
It was completely rusted when I found it in a "junk" knife bin. I took not too big of a chance for 5 bucks, but it turned out waaayyy better than expected.
The next one I found was this Hammer Brand barlow. After I gave Hummpa the same one (with green scales) for my giveaway, I kinda missed it so I snatched this up right when I saw it. Great fit and finish for an inexpensive knife.
When I first saw a Higonokami I wasn't too impressed with it. Just seemed very plain and something I wouldn't like. After handling this one made by Top Men, I was surprised that I liked it. After using it for a little bit I found it is a great slicer.
These next three were bought by the same guy, who mainly dealt in old knives. He had an amazing collection of brands and patterns I have never seen nor heard of. The Doctors knife was made in Germany for Case when Parker Frost owned it (I believe). It is dead mint looks like it sat around in someone's collection for many years. And if anyone knows what German company made it I would appreciate it.
I know this one isn't traditional, but I have to share it.
A Spyderco Co-Pilot with brass liners. I haven't bought many one hand openers in a while but this one caught my eye.
This knife happens to be one I have been searching for a long time, and I was thrilled that he had one. A Marbles EO jack in stag. Dead mint just like the Case. He liked it so much he was reluctant to sell it.
Just happy to cross one of many off my grail list.
These last two were bought by my youngest son, who decided to collect knives just like his brother and myself. He bought this G. Schrade pull ball knife, which I have never seen before. Though not in great condition, he loves it and that is all that matters.
He also bought this Italian mini auto, which is actually pretty neat.
Hope you guys had a great Sunday!
